Osteopathy
Osteopaths are university trained primary health care practitioners which are trained in the art and science of osteopathy.
Osteopathy is a manual medicine which is underpinned by key philosophies. These include looking at each person as an individual and taking into account the effects of their personal structure on the way they function. Furthermore, the effects their function (the way they use their body) can have on their structure over time.
Osteopaths see the body as a whole unit and aim to assist the body to be as balanced as possible. Treatment aims to utilise the bodies own self healing mechanisms to promote health.

Osteopaths treat the whole body, not just bones. They consider how the bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, viscera (internal organs), fascia, circulatory and neurological systems integrate and function together.
